As a Community Engagement Coordinator, Lorenzo works on building relationships with parent leaders and community stakeholders while organizing resources that activate parent power.
Before joining Kids First Chicago, Lorenzo served as a Youth Mentor and Violence Prevention Coordinator for Build Chicago at Leland Elementary. There, he worked with parents and community-based organizations to transform the lives of youth ages 10-24 while increasing their academic engagement.
After graduating from Forman High school and later studying Audio Production at The Illinois Institute of Art, he earned his undergraduate degree in Business Law and Entertainment from SAE Creative Media Institute. Today, using many of his skills, he focuses on building relationships with fathers through an initiative called The ABBA Project.
