As the Senior Manager of Parent Engagement, Krystal is responsible for supporting the execution of a stakeholder engagement project focused on early childhood data. This project includes creating a Data Design Committee of parents with young children to design and create a data resource tool.
Krystal previously served as the Elementary Principal at Keerapat International School in Bangkok, Thailand. There, she was responsible for providing leadership and administration to educators to best support students’ academic and social skills as well as develop curriculum and oversee implementation through tracking student data. She also served as the Dean of Students at Passages Elementary School in Chicago, where she was responsible for coordinating and implementing schoolwide behavior management systems with meaningful incentives and consequences that prioritized the using positive discipline and restorative practices.
A lifelong learner with a passion for education, Krystal. credits her toddler with keeping her grounded. Being a devoted mother has helped guide her in her growth and advocacy for early childhood education that starts at birth.
Krystal received a Masters in Arts in Comparative and International Education, with a concentration in Economics, from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York City. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Krystal is from the City of Chicago and brings international experience to the field with her work abroad. She enjoys traveling, reading, working out, and spending time with her family.
