kpollock@kidsfirstchicago.orgKristin Pollock promotes educational equity for every public school student in Chicago as Chief of Development & External Affairs at Kids First Chicago. Before joining K1C in 2017, Kristin served as the first Development Director for Advance Illinois, which aimed to strengthen Illinois’ birth-to-career public education system. Prior to joining the education community in 2013, she spent more than a decade working in the cultural arts sector at Ravinia Festival and Shedd Aquarium.
A graduate of Chicago-area public schools, Kristin received a B.A. in English/Visual Arts from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. She remains an active alumna leader of her alma mater, currently serving as the National Chair for Bowdoin's Regional Admissions Volunteer Organization and on the college’s strategic planning task force. She is a national Policy Innovators in Education Network Leadership Institute alumna and Director Emeritus of the Chicago Development Leadership Consortium, which operates two annual fellowship programs and supports best-practice sharing in the city’s nonprofit community.
