Today, in partnership with a growing coalition of community and education partners, Kids First Chicago and our Parent Advisory Board submitted a letter to Mayor Brandon Johnson pressing the CPS Board to truly engage Chicago families before making decisions that affect the communities and families we serve.

We are a diverse coalition of community-serving organizations, large and small, working in and adjacent to education, serving and representing hundreds of thousands of Chicago residents, including families, parents, and youth in Chicago Public Schools. We share this letter with the Mayor to appeal to his leadership and belief in authentic community engagement.

We invite individuals and organizations who agree with the sentiments expressed in the letter to add their names to the coalition.
