As the Associate Director of Programs and School Partnerships, Nicholas will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and ongoing operations of K1C programs. Additionally, he will serve as the primary lead for school partnerships that serve as critical spaces for support of parents to congregate, learn, and advocate.

Nicholas previously served as the Assistant Director of Student Culture and Support at Nobles schools where he served within the Noble community for 10 years. There, he was responsible for serving as a mentor, coach, compliance, & program development.

Nicholas believes Chicago parents deserve to be at the center of any decision being made about their students in their city. Parents must be seen as the experts in what is best for their students. He also deeply believes that an informed parent is an engaged and active parent. It is important that he builds with and not for parents because he truly values partnership & service.

Nicholas earned his Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Illinois University Carbondale & Master of Educational Leadership from Lehigh University. At Noble Schools, he was acknowledged for his contributions by receiving the Excellence in Core Values award. He serves as Board Vice President for Plan4Success, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the holistic development for African American students.

Nicholas is a Chicago kid, born and raised in the Roseland community and a product of Chicago Public Schools. He enjoys spending time with his family and ensuring they all have what they need to thrive and be their best excellent selves. When not with family he enjoys a range of physical activities from running & hot yoga. Additionally, Nicholas cherishes his relationships with his lifelong friends, so finding time to stay connected and in community with them is important to him.
