Kids First Chicago (K1C) will present its latest State of Chicago Public Schools report—an annual data-driven review of how Chicago Public Schools (CPS) students are doing both academically and socioemotionally.
The report highlights key indicators such as student proficiency, on-track rates, chronic absenteeism, and school connectedness. New this year, K1C will share data from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), current and former English Learner on-track rates, and advanced coursework enrollment.
Join us as we share insights from K1C’s five-part interactive series designed to help families, policymakers, and advocates understand where CPS students are making progress—and where attention is still needed.
Metrics of success:
- Learn about academic and socioemotional trends for CPS students
- Learn where to find and how to use K1C’s interactive State of CPS report
- Identify questions you can ask your child or your child’s school to better understand academic and socioemotional progress
