Green Table Talk Series: Individualized Education Plans
Location: Virtual
Category: Info Session
Join us as we explore Individualized Education Plans (IEP), the IEP process, and what you need to know to collaborate effectively in creating a meaningful plan for your child.
We are excited to invite you to our virtual Green Table Talk meeting; an informal space for community stakeholders and experts to dialogue issues of special interests. We will be discussing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)! Our goal is to learn about the IEP process through sharing our experiences with one another while also hearing from experts joining the conversation. We aim to provide you with an understanding of the IEP process and its significance in tailoring education to meet the unique needs of your child.
During this virtual meeting, we invite you to explore:
What is an IEP?: We will hear from parents and experts what an IEP is, how it is developed and how it is different from a 504 Plan.
The IEP Process: Gain insight into the process of developing, reviewing, and updating IEPs, including timelines, assessments, and goal setting.
Your Rights as a Parent: Discover your crucial role as an active and informed participant in the IEP process, ensuring that your child's needs and goals are addressed.
Questions? Engage with our team of parent and professional experts to have your questions and concerns about IEPs addressed directly.
Our IEP Green Table Talk session will take place on Zoom on Tuesday, October 24th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.
We encourage your active participation and invite you to share your experiences and thoughts throughout the session. Your participation is an important step towards ensuring that your child receives the best education possible.
We look forward to engaging in an insightful discussion with you about your child's individualized education plan!
