English Language Learners, Dual Language and Bilingual Advisory Council Parents: Supporting Our English Language Learners (ELL) and Their Families
You are invited to a special meeting dedicated to discussing the experiences and rights of English Language Learners (ELL), Dual Language students, and their families. Your participation is crucial in ensuring the success and well-being of your child as they navigate the educational journey in a new language environment.
During this meeting, we will:
*Connect with other parents and build a network of supportive parents: Gain insights into the challenges and triumphs of learning English as a second language through sharing experiences.
*Discuss your access to resources: Learn about available resources and support systems for ELL students and their families.
*Discuss progress tracking: Share your experiences around assessment and tracking.
*Discuss strategies for effective advocacy: Understand the educational landscape to better advocate for your child
*Learn how to better collaborate with Educators: Fostering a strong partnership with teachers and administrators can ensure the best outcomes for your child.
In order to accommodate parent availability, this virtual meeting will take place on Zoom on Thursday, May 23rd from 6pm - 7:30pm.
