Join Kids First Chicago for an eye-opening session where we dive into the revealing insights from a recent Public Agenda poll on Chicagoans' perceptions of Chicago Public Schools (CPS). This is your chance to explore what fellow Chicagoans think about important topics like academic achievement, school funding priorities, and how well CPS is managing its money. We'll discuss community viewpoints on training for teachers and principals, preparing students for college, and the need for stronger school improvement efforts. This lively and engaging discussion aims to empower and inform parents with valuable insights as Chicago moves to an elected school board and deals with post-pandemic challenges affecting students' learning and well-being.
Our meeting will be a success if parents and caregivers who attend:
Leave with a clear understanding of the key priorities and concerns highlighted in a recent poll on Chicagoans’ perceptions of CPS.
Share their own priorities and experiences with CPS, discussing which poll findings resonate with them and which do not.
Feel more informed and inspired to engage with CPS leadership and advocate for their children's education.
