Join the K1C parents at the Gun Violence Prevention Expo to discuss building safe, supportive schools across Chicago. Registration is free and the event is open to the public.
Kids First Chicago invites you to join us at the 2025 Strides for Peace Gun Violence Prevention Expo for a parent panel, featuring K1C parents, & a deep dive into the State of CPS report and Chicago Public Schools’ Whole School Safety Policy.
Our time at the expo will focus on the Student Well-being section of K1C’s report, highlighting the importance of creating school environments where students feel physically and emotionally safe and can thrive.
K1C Parent Voices:
After the presentation, K1C parents from the Social Emotional Learning Task Force and Westside Inc Parent Leadership Team (PLT) will join CPS staff to discuss the critical role parents play in shaping and sustaining safe, supportive school communities.
